About

Solitaires.gg was built with one goal: let you play solitaire without the clutter.

Who is behind Solitaires.gg

Solitaires.gg is built and run by François, an independent developer based in France. He started the project after growing tired of what most solitaire sites had become: pages packed with popups, pre-roll videos and slow, heavy game engines that got in the way of the cards. The idea was simple—a solitaire game that loads instantly, plays smoothly on a phone or a desktop, and respects your attention.

There is no content farm here. François writes and maintains every guide and article on the site himself, and he is also the person who codes the games, answers support emails and fixes the bugs you report. When you read a strategy tip on Solitaires.gg, it comes from someone who has actually played thousands of deals while building and testing the game.

How we write our guides

Our guides are meant to be the reference you come back to, not filler around an ad slot. A few principles guide how they are written:

  • Rules are verified by playing. Every rule described in a guide has been checked against the actual game, not copied from another website.
  • Statistics come from published research. Win rates and solvability figures are sourced from published solving research and computer analyses of solitaire deals, and we say so when a number is an estimate.
  • Guides are updated when the game changes. When a feature, a scoring rule or a keyboard shortcut changes on Solitaires.gg, the relevant guide is revised at the same time.
  • Every guide shows its dates. Each article displays when it was published and when it was last updated, so you always know how current the information is.

What you get

A modern solitaire experience built for today's devices. Our Klondike Solitaire game adapts to your screen, saves your progress automatically, and works even when you're offline. It offers Draw 1 and Draw 3 modes, undo, hints, a daily challenge shared by every player in the world, a global leaderboard and achievements. We focused on smooth animations and responsive controls because those small details make the difference.

If you prefer tiles to cards, our Mahjong Solitaire game lets you clear layered boards by matching free, identical tiles, with the same clean interface, scoring and hint system. Everything is available in eight languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch and Chinese.

Whether you play on your phone during a commute, on a tablet at home, or on your desktop at work (we won't tell), the games work the same everywhere. Touch, mouse, keyboard—whatever works for you.

Advertising and how the site is funded

Solitaires.gg is free to play and always will be. Running the site costs money—hosting, domain, the daily challenge backend—and that is covered by a small number of discreet display ads placed around the game area, never over it. You may also choose to watch an optional rewarded ad to earn extra hints or undos, but that is entirely up to you. Ads never interrupt gameplay: there are no pre-roll videos, no popups and no forced waiting before you can deal the next hand.

Privacy

No account is required to play. Your statistics, streaks and preferences are stored locally in your browser, and an account is only needed if you want to sync your progress across devices. For details on the data we do and do not collect, see our privacy policy.
